Seafood Saturday - Museum Activity Program

Smiley by Arthur Telle Thiemann/ Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards.

We're joining in the fun of Seafood Saturday on March 9th. Brought to you by Seafood New Zealand, Upper Trafalgar Street will be buzzing with fishing-related activities and the opportunity to enjoy exquisite locally caught or grown seafood.

Here's our lineup of oceanic activities for you to try:

12:00 – 3:00 pm: Pop into the Museum for kids’ crafts with Jolie. Tamariki can let their imaginations swim free as they create and decorate a unique little fish (approx. 30 minutes.)

12:00 – 4:00 pm: Dive into the world of colours with ocean-themed colouring-in materials available in our education space.

10 am – 4:30 pm: Explore our latest exhibitions. Spot the cheeky fish in our latest exhibition, Animal Antics: Comedy Wildlife Photography or see a stingray spine in Te Hītori Aoturoa: Learning from Nature.

Free Museum admission for Nelson Tasman locals. Bookings not required. Parent supervision is essential.
