The collection holds irreplaceable artworks such as this portrait of Atama Paparangi (Te Rarawa) by Charles Frederick Goldie.

This pūtātara (trumpet) was created by a modern practioner, Layton Robertson. He uses traditional tools, techniques and resources in creating one-of-a-kind taonga. This was a recent acquisition and an example of cultural revitalization happening throughout Aotearoa in supporting mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge).
