Ngā Koiora a Raranga / Tau 1 – 5
Weaving the Biodiversity (of Te Tauihu)
Our wonderful stained-glass window is used as a focus for this experience.
A fun and interactive lesson with learning wrapped around our gorgeous taonga, “Weave” the stained-glass window at NPM. Story-telling, hands-on activities, viewing taonga, making connections with our local whenua.
Ākonga will learn some of the natural history and the legends of the creatures depicted in the stained-glass window. Taonga from our education collection are used to support the programme.
Senior students will then make their own 'stained glass' images. Juniors - Middles will complete a related art activity.
Available at any time during the school year.
